Racing flowing through the veins – the new Vantage GT8
Freitag, 3 Juni 2016
Aston Martin has racing flowing though its veins, and so Aston Martin has produced a special model which seems to be derived directly from motor racing: the Vantage GT8. This special model’s looks are strongly reminiscent of the V8 Vantage GTE racing car. The GT8 is fitted with many carbon components as standard. Special Highlight: The lower part of the wheel arch features a cutaway allowing you a glimpse of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres fitted as standard.
This feature has also been adapted from the racing car. If you want to take the GT8 out onto the racetrack regularly, you can order the Aero Package with protruding rear spoiler and extra bumper canards at the front. The performance is delivered thanks to the famous 4.7-litre V8, which pushes out 440 hp and 490 Nm maximum torque in the GT8. With the naturally aspirated V8 under the long bonnet, the GT8 accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, top speed 306 km/h. The suspension has also been optimised to achieve fast lap times.
The GT8 is limited to a production run of 150 cars worldwide.
The GT8 was first seen on the European continent during the 24-Hour race at the Nürburgring at the end of May 2016. Read the article from Top Gear:
